Depth in one discipline, breadth where the laboratory needs it.
We are rooted in haemostasis, where we know the assays, the evidence and the suppliers best. We go broader where pathology networks are consolidating and a laboratory needs a hand across the wider service. Every line below is a service we provide and stand behind in person, never an off-the-shelf product.
Where elixir is useful.
Each line below is rooted in real laboratory and NHS commercial work. Where another supplier, method or approach suits your laboratory better, we will tell you.
Haemostasis advisory
Assay selection across the specialist test menu, and connecting you to Technoclone's direct UK supply. As UK partner for Technoclone GmbH, we advise on the specialist range.
Explore PathologyPathology diagnostics consulting
Support for consolidating pathology networks: laboratory workflow review, assay and supplier evaluation, and preparation for ISO 15189 / UKAS assessment.
Explore ProcurementNHS tenders
Bid strategy, specification support, competitor and framework analysis, and commercial review — drawing on experience of both the supplier's bid desk and the laboratory side of the table.
Explore SystemsSoftware & LIMS migration
Migration planning, supplier coordination, configuration, testing, training and change management. We support laboratories through a move onto a new system without losing the history or the people in the change.
Explore CommercialSales training
B2B selling into clinical science, NHS procurement and tendering, and key account management for diagnostics commercial teams — taught around NHS procurement and how diagnostics are actually purchased.
Explore Not sure whichDescribe the problem
If your question sits across two of these — or none of them cleanly — describe it in a short note and we will tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
Request a quoteA human-led service, not a product on the shelf.
Some haemostasis questions are better answered with a model than another assay: fitting a thrombin-generation curve, exploring an assay's behaviour, or making sense of a discrepant result. We do this work as a service, by hand and by judgement, and we are deliberately plain about what it is and is not.
- Delivered as a consulting service, scoped to your question — never sold as a product or a subscription.
- Human-led throughout: the interpretation, the assumptions and the limitations are stated by a person you can question.
- Computational and modelling work supports the science; it does not replace the assay, the scientist or the clinician.
This work is not a medical device, and does not diagnose or treat. It is analysis and interpretation offered alongside laboratory results, to inform the people who own the clinical decision.
Any modelling or computational output is illustrative and supportive only. It is not a medical device, and is never positioned as an automated or self-driving diagnostic.
The judgement stays with people you can hold to account.
Whichever of these lines you need, elixir holds every recommendation to the published evidence. Where another method, supplier or approach is the better answer for your laboratory, we say so.
